These conditions of business contain all the terms on which AuctionHongKong.com Ltd. and the seller contract with the buyer. They may be amended by notices or oral announcements made during the sale. By bidding at auction means the bidder has accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms & conditions. AuctionHongKong.com Ltd. will act as the agent of the sellers during the auction.
All prices listed and stated in our catalogue are in Hong Kong dollar currency, the whole auction will be carried out in such currency only and all auction realization prices & related charges must be paid in such currency. We do accept payment in credit card of VISA, MASTERCARD or UNIONPAY with no extra premium or handling fee will be charged.

Examination of auction lots
Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally and properly in which they are interested before the auction takes place.

All statements & descriptions shown in the catalogue listings for the auction lots, or made orally or in writing elsewhere are only statements of opinion and are not to be relied on as statements of fact or certification. Such statements do not constitute a representation, warranty or assumption of liability or genuine guaranteed by AuctionHongKong.com Ltd. or any of its staff of any kind. References & conditions stated in the catalogue listings are for guidance to the prospective bidder only.
Bidding Paddle Deposit
All bidders are requested of a deposit of HKD20,000 for the bidding paddle registration prior to the commencement of the auction, deposit also applied to the absentee or telephone bidders.
Buyer’s responsibility
All lots are sold on “as is” basis, AuctionHongKong.com Ltd. or the seller will undertake no guarantee for the authenticity and quality of the lots sold. All lots sold will not be accepted for return or refund at any circumstances. Buyers should examine the auction lots carefully by themselves and are responsible for satisfying themselves concerning the condition of the auction lots and the matters referred in the catalogue listings.
At The Sale
Refusal of admission
The auction organizers has the right at their complete discretion, to refuse admission of any person into the auction venue or to reject any bid.
Bidding as principal
Making a bid implies that the bidder is accepting personal liability to pay the auction realization price and all applicable charges, unless it has been explicitly agreed in writing with AuctionHongKong.com Ltd. prior to the auction that the bidder is acting as agent on behalf of an identified third party acceptable to AuctionHongKong.com Ltd. and we will only look to the principal for payment in such case.
Absentee bids
We will carry out written bids delivered to us prior to the sale for the convenience of buyers who are not present at the auction in person, which can be done by an agent or by phone. Details please refer to the Absentee Bids Form printed in this catalogue. If we receive written bid on a particular lot for identical amount, and at the auction this is the highest bid on the lot, it will be sold to the person whose written bid was received and accepted first.
Telephone bids
If a prospective buyer has made arrangements with us prior to the commencement of the sale, we will use reasonable efforts to contact them to enable them to participate in the bidding by telephone, but we do not accept liability for failure to do so or for errors and omissions in connection with telephone bidding.
Auctioneer’s discretion
The auctioneer has the right at his absolute and sole discretion to refuse any bid, to advance the bidding in such a manner as he may decide, to withdraw or divide any lot, to combine any two or more lots and, in the case of error or dispute, and whether during or after the sale, to determine the successful bidder, to continue the bidding or to cancel the sale or to re-offer and resell the item in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, our sale record is conclusive.
After Sale
Buyer’s Premium
AuctionHongKong.com Ltd. charges a flat premium of 12% to all buyers on the final realization price of each lot sold.
Remedies for non payment
If the buyer fails to make payment in full in good cleared funds within seven calendar days of sale, we shall be entitled in our absolute discretion to exercise one or more of the following rights or remedies:
1. to charge a monthly interest rate of 3%;
2. At any time after the said allowable payment period of 7 days to hold the defaulting buyer liable for the total amount due and to commence legal proceedings for its recovery together with interest, legal fees and costs to the fullest extend permitted under applicable law;
3. to cancel the sale and forfeit the deposit paid by the buyer;
4. to resell the property publicity or privately on such terms as we shall think fit;
